See, addiction can also be to good things; it gives you a dose of escapism for some time in the form of dopamine. So, you get some natural power of dopamine to deal with whatever problem you are facing. But what about when you are working and at the starting time it is fine. Especially when you have slept and after completing all the daily natural needs.

You sit to do your work, then you can comfortably take a sitting of 3-4 hours to concentrate on your work. Sometimes you can continue for 3-3.5 hours, you can even complete your task of sitting for 4 hours. So, here during the starting 4 hours of work time we can concentrate on things in a better way and complete those works comfortably. But the problem here is how to handle the 4 hours of work that is left after your lunch.

Because at this time you can be as active or as inactive as if you completed your work well in the first 4 hours. But now how will you manage the next 4 hours. So, here mostly in the work that we do after 4 hours, we never do it with full concentration. Which we should do, whether you have any work to do or not.

Give 4-5 Hours Work Priority: –

You have to give priority to those 4 hours also, just as you had given to the starting 4 hours. So, what do we do that we are never able to do like this. Because we know that the work done by us in the starting 4 hours, we had done that work without using addiction. That is why we were able to work properly in the time period of phase-1 of the starting 4 hours.

But if we did not use addiction in the second phase of our 4 hours, then we could have done the same work very comfortably without getting distracted. But we do not do this maximum and even if we do it, we do it with addiction. So, here the kind of output you expect for your Phase-1 work, you cannot expect the same output from your Phase-2 work. And in the process of enjoying the addiction, you are never able to work with focus during all the hours of your Phase-2.

Hence from now onwards you must make it a daily discipline. Till the time you are not able to complete 8 hours of work daily; you must not get addicted to it in any way. Well, you will have to maintain some discipline and a reward system will also have to be created. Only then you have to start entertaining yourself with your addictive things as a form of reward after the remaining 8 hours.

Otherwise, you should not give any kind of reward to yourself from any kind of addiction to any luxury things. With this, you will be able to do your own work without any distraction.

Maintain Balance Between Work & Addiction: –

Secondly you will be able to control your addiction for a particular time period. And when you complete your 8 hours work and you start getting addicted to your addictive things. Then you will be able to fully enjoy your addictive things.

Now what is happening is neither you are able to do your work properly nor you are able to enjoy your addiction properly. So, try to do everything at a deeper level now, and there is maximum benefit in doing these things. Because what is the meaning of such a life, where you are neither able to work properly nor are you able to enjoy your addiction.

Work and addiction can never go together, either you start working fully or else you start doing your addictive things fully. You cannot enjoy both of them together and if you want to enjoy both the things together. Then the pleasure that you will feel, you will feel a kind of incompleteness in it. Such that you will neither be able to continue and sustain your mental peace. Nor will you be able to enjoy your addiction.

So, the best way is to decide the time for both and enjoy your work and addiction accordingly. Now, when we understand some addictions get easily coupled with them, due to which we start getting double power. Due to which we are able to think better and we also enjoy working in such situations. But you will have to see and figure out in what way you want to couple your addiction with your work.

So, that you can get better output from that work in a better way. You have to figure out all these things on your own. This way you can do your work by fully focusing on both the places.

After Lunch Try to Use Addiction with Work: –

Now here you can also do this, if you wish, from when you wake up in the morning till the 10 hours. In those hours, if you want to do 4 hours of Phase-1 without addiction.

Also, if you want the remaining 4 hours of Phase-2, then you can divide it in 3 formats. You can decide the 1st format of Second Phase for 2 hours and after the remaining 2 hours. You can take a break of 1 hour and keep a gap of 1 hour between the remaining 2 hours. And in these gaps, you can also use your addiction, or you can also take a nap during these hours.

So, that you get recharged again to work for long hours. And try, after 4 hours do a light exercise like stretching etc. you take a nap of 30-40 minutes. This will make your mind even more peaceful, and you will be able to work for long term with your fresh mind. Overall, both your hardware and software have to be recharged every 4 hours.

Conclusion: –

This way you can get output from your mind in a better way. And coming to the matter of addiction, then once you complete your 8 hours target. Then all the other addictions that you want to do, you will do them all. Or else you will do this, then all the other works, after completing your daily 8 hours target.

If you still want to work, then you can do all these works along with addiction. By this you will not feel left out from your reward system. See, addiction is good as well as bad, if it is used in balance. Otherwise, you will not be able to focus on your work or other things of life.

Like family, and matter of family these all things will come later. When you indulge in addiction, you are not able to concentrate properly on yourself. So, that is why it becomes very important to balance work and addiction in life.
